Richard Street (or the Thomas and John Jackson Station as written beneath an entrance sign) is located in southern Jersey City and is the northernmost stop on the Bayonne Branch that fallows the bed of former Morris Canal, it serves a neighbrohood of houses. The station has a simple island platform engraved with a map of the original HBLR system (no 8th Street or Tonnelle Avenue extensions) on the station platform's by Nina Yankowitz and Barry Holden including platform benches. The windscreens have Coming and Going by Anne Dushanko-Dobek. To leave the platform, at the southern end is a pedestrian grade crossing that leads north. It leads up beneath a portal with a scupture by Tom Nussbaum and Charles Fahlen and down a few steps (with a ramp) to a turn-around loop at the dead end of Richard Street that heads north. In this plaza is a fence with decorative Wheels by Alastair Noble and more Immigrant Remnants by Karl Jensen.
