45th Street is a HBLR station in Bayonne along the Morris Canal Bed. It is an island platform located below ground level, right along the highway that is NJ-440/169. The station is accessed via a small plaza at the corner of Center Street (that crosses the tracks on an overpass) and Avenue E in a residential neighborhood of Bayonne. There is both a short staircase and an elevator down to a grade crossing at the southern end of the island platform. It is the most northern stop in Bayonne and the northernmost stop on rush hour Bayonne Flyer trains before the non-stop express portion of their runs (southbound Bayonne Flyers at Liberty State Park preak direction rush hours) to Essex Street in Downtown Jersey City.

Artwork: Includes Animal Tracks by Gregg LeFevre engraved in the floor along the platform of footprints. On the wall of the open-cut the station is in and at the elevator landing is A Day in the Park by Catherine Hackle that includes lots of star tiles from students at all the public schools in Bayonne. The elevator shaft is lit at night by neon light by Ray King. The Beutiul Bayonne is a schupture with painted tiles on its planter. Two HBLR pillars are in the plaza and have have an iron arch of figures of people holding up gears by Tom Nussbaum
