Sky Reflector-Net, 2014
By James Carpenter Design Associates, Grimshaw Architects and ARUP

This large installation has been installed in the roof of the main Fulton Center atrium and is designed to embrace light and air using tension cables, rods and stainless steel plus aluminum panels, bringing a unique sense of light, in particular different patterns of daylight into the station below. The daylight sky-reflector reflects light and different shadows into the multiple levels of the station including to the underground levels and designed to change the amounts of light depending upon weather patterns and the time of day.
