Chicago is normal an underground Blue Line Station with a single arched ceiling island platform with the cream colored I-beam pillars under Milwaukee Road. An escalator (going up) and staircase lead up to small mezzanine with fare control in the middle of the platform. Fare control is here, one side has high exit turnstiles because their exits on three sides. Small black lettering at the top of the mezzanine walls direct passengers to the station's three street stairs at the complicated intersections and plazas above the station. One is on the north side of Chicago Avenue between May Street and Ogden Avenue, another is across the street in a small traffic island formed by Milwaukee Avenue, Ogden Aveune and Chicago Avenue all crossing each other. This one isn't the normal blue beams but has a more modern marble-looking cinderblocks with silver railings The final one is on the south side of Chicago Avenue between Milwaukee and May Streets.
