Manassas Park is (as of 2025) an under construction VRE station since a 540-space parking garage is being constructed across the two tracks from the station platform. When I visited in 2024 this literally meant that the platform was split into two, with a car in the middle of the train not opening. This gap is because of a bridge that is being constructed with stairs/elevators up down to the platform connecting to the third story of the parking garage. The rest of this summary is going to ignore the parking garage and describe the station it its pre-parking garage state.
The Manassas Park Station contains a single low-level platform along the two-track former Southern Railway. This platform begins 350 feet northeast of the grade-crossing of Manassas Drive. There is a non-accessible sidewalk connection from Manassas Drive with a flight of gentle steps leading down to the edge of the station's 616 space parking lot. This parking lot is at a grade lower than the station platform with a single entrance from Railroad Drive that arrives beneath the edge of the platform at a roundabout that also includes a bus loop.
Access to the platform is via four flights of stairs down from the platform at regular intervals, there is also a switch-backing ramp towards the southern end of the platform, by the main entrance. This is where the station’s TVMs are, along with a one car long canopy. There is a second canopy structure of a similar length towards the northern end of the platform. The platform also contains four silver bus-stop style shelters to supplement the poor proper canopy coverage.
