The Concourse-Mosholu Yard
The Concourse-Mosholu
Yard are two separate yards that are located right next too each
other, the Mosholu Yard can't be photographed from the street or
a station because there is a parking garage built over it. That
yard is home to the 4 line and I
believe has R-62 and R-142(A)s.
The Concourse Yard is very easily viewed from either the northern
end of the downtown Bedford Park Blvd/Jerome Avenue platform (4) or from the
bridge that Bedford Park Blvd goes over the yard just west of the
4 station. The yard is home to both IRT and
IND cars of the 4 and B,D. The normal
revenue service rolling stocks trains
that are there are the 4's R-142 with
the few R-142As and R-62s it runs can also be found. The R-68 of
the D and R-40/R-40Ms of the B. The yard has a number of
redbirds in it with some having been now converted to work cars.
There is a R-30 that is now a school car, a car wash. Various
types of work cars are stored in the yard.
