Washington Park Station is served by cars for Penn Station only. The station is located on Broad Street, and has a sidewalk platform, where the sidewalk simply raises up to the Newark Light Rail Half-High platform height, the platform is directly alongside Washington Park. The station has a similar design to it's northbound sister station Atlantic Street a block away. Another interesting thing is that their is another platform on the street side of the tracks (separated by a fence except at the ends of the platform), that is a bus stop island for the many buses that run down Broad Street.
