The Downtown Burbank station is located near the fairly bustling downtown of Burbank. The station is along the rail line that is parallel to I-5. Their are
quite a few bus lines that stop at the station and connect to nearby worksites and the surrounding area. The amount of train service is very good since the station is located before
the Antelope Valley Line and Ventura County Lines split. Peak hour service is quite frequent in both directions (Their are many people who commute out here from downtown LA, when I was their during the AM Rush more people were getting off the trains than on.
Midday service is pretty good, but can be spotty with some long gaps in service.
Most Amtrak Bypass the station, although 1 train in each direction does stop at the station, these trains are jointly operated with MetroLink and all tickets are valid for travel on it (not just monthly passes only like most Amtrak Surfliner Trains.)
The station itself has 2 tracks with room for a third and two side platforms. Their are passenger level crossings at the north and south ends of the station for crossing the tracks. All station canopies are in an art deco motif.
