Dyckman Street (1)

Dyckman Street is the first elevated station on the 1 train after it leaves it's tunnel through Ft. George Hill and Washington Heights, the is fairly interesting being built directly into the hillside. The tunnel portal is the southern end of the platform and most of the station is build on an embankment that has leveled the hillside. The station house is directly under the platforms and is at street level with some steps to it because of the steep hill. The station has two side platforms. An interesting feature are a few dilapidated name tablets on the northbound platform since the station is built directly into the hillside.
