Bowling Green is an usual station. Originally there was an island platform with a small side platform for the discontinued South Ferry shuttle. Due to high ridership the current side platform for uptown trains were built. The 1970s orange tiling covered up old artword like at 49 Street. There is a side exit and other exits on the underpass.
