Astor Place is a famous station and on the national register of historic places. The original portion of the station has been restored beautifully. the entrance to the uptown platform is a replica of an IRT kiosk. The southern portion of the station has 'A' wall reliefs in the trim with a tiling for Astor underneath vertically. There are column signs for the Cooper Union and some older maps refer to the station has 8 Street-Astor Place
