A Floor Plan! of this station is here!
96 Street is a IRT dual contracts local stop that has been recently renovated. The mosaics are very intra cit. Its 96-96 mosaics are unique for the system, they are on the northbound platform only. The platform changes a lot, there are never any columns. Most of the platform is fairly wide. Parts of the southern part which I assume is the extension, is narrow, also when this starts the upper walls get much smaller. and the tracks enter tunnels that are curved. There are two latters on each platform up to this area. The station has a mezzanine with views onto the tracks and benches near them.
