A Tunnel Portal North of the Station
125 Street
is the located in the middle of a
large valley and exits the tunnel from the 137 Street-City College station directly in the
median of Broadway at 122 Street. The tunnel portal is a very good out
of system photo location for photographing 1 and 9 trains going up and down the straight el on Broadway. The
portal has a 5 foot high concrete wall and then a high, large, broken
chain linked fence, it may be hard for shorter people to photograph at
this location. There is also a small subway shed that bocks the view streight down to the Bronx-bound local track.
