Jamaica-Van Wyck is the first stop on the Archer Avenue extension. It is in fact the only stop in which the very busy E is alone. The station is new looking with orange walls and high ceilings. There is a walkway to an exit over most of the Jamaica bound track. There is a short escalator up to the mezzanine (most new subway systems have escalators when ever possible).
