For Want of a Nail, 2000: The Staircase Through the Stars and Space
The staircase at the northen end of the station provides a beginning to what empty space was like before the earth existed, it is simply black panels with stars twinkeling in them, with some of the planets visible as well. It gives the impression of what space was like without earth.
