Times Square Mural,
Designed: 1990, Fabricated: 1994, Installed 2002
Porcelain Enamel
By Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997)

The Mural is a gift from the artist to the people of New York

This a huge panel of pop art panels by the famous artist who died before it was installed, attached to an upper beam in the 42 Street end of the main mezzanine area near the shuttle platforms. It is one of the hallmarks of the Arts For Transit Collection and graces the cover of a lot of the literature about it.
