Queensboro Plaza is located at the foot of the Queesboro Bridge. The station is a lage three level superstructure and the only place where island transfers are avalable between IRT trains and IND/BMT trains. The station is currently four tracks two for the BMT Broadway-Astoria Trains (N,W) on the northern side of the station, and two for the IRT Flushing Line (7,<7>) on the southern side. The station used to have eight tracks for the Second Avenue el that had a branch over the Queensboro Bridge and closed in 1946 After the el closed half of the dangerous structure was taken down. At the estern end of the station and troughout it there is still a skeleton of the old el and an ovious place where it entered the Queensboro bridge. The upper level is for Queens-bound trains and has a nice view of the surrouding area, the lower that has no view in most places is for Manhattan-bound trains
