Welcome to the Chicago 'L' on the SubwayNut!
Nearly 11 years after I went to Chicago for the first time when this website was in its infancy (in 2003) and wrote a tiny section about the 'L' that has remained on-line all these years, I am proud to announce that I am finally going through my archive and starting to write a proper Chicago 'L' section for the SubwayNut. I have decided to use my original banner collage from my first weekend trip to the windy city. Presently this section is still a work in progress, going through my archive I have realized that there are stations I only have a few photos of and some without photos of, so those lack pages. Hopefully the next time I am in Chicago (hopefully relatively soon!) I can visit the stations that need visiting or revisiting and have comprehensive coverage of every station on North America's second largest Urban Rail System which has 145 stations. I have started off dividing navigation for the system up by transit line, once I have every station complete I also hope to have a clickable map for navigation to compliment the line home pages. There is a separate page for the downtown loop since 5 of the 8 lines share it and it is the heart and soul of the 'L' and downtown Chicago.
