Fan Trips and Other Special Subway Events

The Subway's Centennial was celebrated on October 27, 2004, in honor of the day, and throughout the year there were various subway events. The day of the Centennial included a re-enactment of the first subway ride by invided guests and mayor Bloomberg. I was not an invited guest. Then the Historic and Currently abandoned City Hall station opened to the general public for the first time since New Year's Eve 1949, to see the station which's entrance is located inside city hall's security boundry you had to go through the metal dectors like you were going into the Hall. Then you were aloud to enter the station for a brief period of time all photos of the station were taken within my 5 minutes inside. There were people showing you around in vinage 1904 dress.
