Santa Barbara, CA

The Santa Barbara station is fairly large when compared with other Surfliner stations. The station is located near the waterfront on in the downtown of this buisiling Seaside, touristy City. Their is a fairly large station house in the misson style, that is fully staffed, all trains include baggage cars, The station house is quite set-back from the tracks, so the station has one of the widests platforms I've seen, with evidance that a thrid track has been concreeted over. It has one main very wide low side platform, and a very narrow island platfrom, between the two tracks. Access to this island platform is only at a grade. The platforms were recently refurbished and have tactile warning strips as well as a wheelchare access ramp on the side one. It is served by the 5 Surfliner North trains each, as well as the daily Coast Starlight.
