Airtrain JFK-Station D: Jamaica Station
Jamaica Station is located in Jamaica Queens, right next to the Long Island Rail Road's large Junction at Jamaica Station. The station is one of two the other being Howard Beach (A train) where the 5 dollars Airtrain Fee is paid with MetroCard. The fee is paid both entering the station and leaving the station, the turnstiles have MetroCard readers on either end. There are also MVM's on either side of fare control. Most of the Airtrain right of way into the airport is located in the median of the Van Wyck Expressway, where trains seem to go faster then the traffic.

| (jamaica1) At Jamaica Station, looking out the front of a 2 car train waiting to depart. The space for another car is beyond the train. Notice the thing that looks like a lamp hanging out of the station, this is a sensor that senses whether there is a car that's stopped at the platform doors and whether they should be opened or not. LIRR's Jamaica Station is beyond, an M7 and M1/3 sit idle in a small yard beyond the station.
